The use of slip Agents Masterbatch for polyethylene films will reduce the Friction Coefficient (COF) while maintaining optic properties such as brilliance, transparency, and clarity. They may also be used jointly with "Anti-block” agents. Slip Agent Masterbatch provides greater thermal stability, reliability, and ability to hold COF steady during laminating. Slip agents overcome the resins’ natural tackiness so they can move smoothly through converting and packaging equipment. LDPE and LLDPE films are commonly categorized as low-, medium-, or high-slip, depending on their COF. The COF level generally corresponds to how much slip they contain.
